August Visiting Teaching Message

LDS.org August Visiting Teaching Message

Sorry for the absence!! Our little boy's due date is fast approaching and while that's coming I'm trying to get some fun stuff together for my Hedgehog to start preschool in the fall, so as you can only imagine life is crazy at my house. As you also may have guessed, I'll be taking some time to get into the swing of things once #2 gets here, so I'll try and get ahead in the lesson handouts but I can't make any guarantees (I will however get the Sharing Time Cards out). Enough from me.

August Sharing Time Cards

Hello all!! I'm so excited! Today is the marker of the 30 day countdown until our little boy comes!! I'm really hoping for sooner (the end of July would be perfect) but kids just come when they want to. Now with that in mind, I'm trying to get ahead so that you guys have all you need while I'm adjusting with 2 boys. Any tips on adjusting are much appreciated!!!!

Girls' Camp: Superhero

This was a request from Shannon A., the theme of their Girls' Camp this year is: You are a Superhero because you are a daughter of God. So to kick off the stuff that I found, I made a little bookmark.

What is your Girls' Camp theme? Need some help? Comment or email!!

Caughtcha Wall

The idea behind this little activity is to get your family to do small acts of service without being asked. So find a bit of a wall or a sliding door and post up the poster (8.5x11) and print off a bunch of the cards (Just realized the typo SORRY!) and put a couple pens with them. When one of your kids have noticed some good deed happen to them (brother gave me a Reese's, helped me with homework, played barbies with me, etc) then they write it on one of the cards and post it around the poster. Then when you read them you can go reward the kid that did the good deed with a good deed coupon (don't worry I'll be making more -there's 2 available now)
