{Sunbeams} Primary 1, Lesson 1

Print on cardstock and laminate for durability and to use with other lessons or as a time filler game. Use either magnet tape or velcro dots to attach to the mat characters and the backs of the cut-outs characters.

We are all children of our Heavenly Father. Before we came to earth, we were spirits (show the mat) we did not have our skin or our bones, We lived with Heavenly Father but we don't remember it when we came to Earth (have the children each come and make a match) we gained a body. There are many different people but we are each a child of God, He loves us and knows your name.

{Sharing Time} The scriptures are the word of God

I love in the outline choosing favorite scripture stories from the different books. So I've made matching halves for a bunch of different stories. You can print whatever ones you'd like. The halves are about 8x10 so it's big enough for all to see. You can either put one half on the board and hide the other halves or put the others under random chairs. Then once a match has been made then you can talk about the story associated with the picture.

On the board, write "The Scriptures are _______________" and ask the kids, write their responses on the board. After they've answered fill in the blank with "the word of God".

There are many wonderful stories throughout the scriptures. Can you name the 4 books of scripture that we read? (The Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price) these are called the standard words. Today we are going to learn about some of the stories from these precious books of scripture. (Hang up the halves that you are using - hide the other halves before Primary so that the kids don't know where they are)

Here are the pictures I've used:

Old Testament
Abraham and Isaac
Adam and Eve
Daniel
Jonah
Moses Parts Red Sea
Noah

New Testament
Jesus Calls His Apostles
Jesus was Baptized
Jesus Heals Jairus' Daughter
Gethsemane
The Crucifixion
Parable of the Ten Lepers

Book of Mormon
Brother of Jared
Captain Moroni
Jesus Visits the Nephites
King Benjamin
Moroni Buries the Plates

Doctrine and Covenants (Church History)
The First Vision
Jesus visits Joseph Smith
Saints leave Nauvoo
Printing of the Book of Mormon

Primary 4, Lesson 1

To help with the lessons throughout the year, here's a sale for the Book of Mormon Jumbo Cut-outs to retell some of the stories from the Book of Mormon. Just click on the preview below to go snag the deal!

You will need a die for this game, you could do any size but THESE are my favorite, they're just the right size and they're made of foam so if they're thrown around in excitement it won't hurt anyone.

New Testament Jeopardy

(there are two downloads the link will take you to a Dropbox page click on the blue download button at the top and it will begin downloading)

There seems to always be the last week of the year that there's not a lesson in the manual. So what I liked to do was do a "review" of what was taught during the year.

For this game there are 10 questions for each of the categories so you can choose what questions best suit your class.
I've also included points 10, 20, 30-100 so you can choose how you want to award points.
There are no points on the questions so you can choose what questions to put where.

The scriptures on the upper left can be used to either show the kids where to look or for the older kids to give a hint of what the answer is.

There's also a final question!

Enjoy!

Monthly Scripture Reading Punch Cards/Pages

Keep these requests coming! It's so fun to create what you think up and share with others!

Thank you SO much for all these requests ladies! You amaze me! Here's another request from Melanie J. and Stefany T.. For Melanie, she wanted the punch cards to be sized at business cards so that she can print for her large Primary (200 active WOW) for inexpensively. So here are those for you all!
Each month corresponds with the monthly posters, each day has a "punch" you can either do a small hole punch (FYI- normal hole punchers have a 1/4 inch punch- Melanie is using a 1/8) or small stickers (I found these circle ones or these star ones). You could also easily make these into a magnet with magnet sheets and just stick the business cards onto the sheets.
Melanie's idea as the kids read their scriptures each day (she's going to ask for parents to initial each day) she'll punch for each day. For those that have the full month filled, she has a big treasure chest full of items from Oriental Trading to choose from.

Each month was made using the papers that you can purchase

DOWNLOAD MONTHLY PUNCH CARDS HERE
-click the blue download button at the top of the page this will begin the download for the single cards-
(these are jpegs so you can just upload into a website - I've used Vistaprint and they were fast and the cards turned out beautiful)

DOWNLOAD FULL SHEETS OF 8 HERE

And Stefany's idea was to give these sheets out and the kids color each day that they read their scriptures. You can easily print as a half sheet or a quarter sheet to save on paper and printing costs. I've included a color version and b/w version. Enjoy! Thanks Stefany for your idea!

*Note: These are full sheets, in your printer options you can adjust to print as a half or quarter sheet.

2016 CD jewel covers/inserts, cd labels and envelopes

It's here! Finally, thanks for your patience to those that emailed and commented! If you need a different size please let me know! These are the most popular over the last few years but I can make another template.
Most of these are in either .png or .jpeg format, I didn't want the sizing or quality lost when you print these to fit the cds. If you need help printing (see FAQs) or need further assistance please email me.

The single labels are in .png format so you can adjust them depending on the labels you use.

The ones with the 2 per sheet are using label AVERY 5931
(this label is the one I have and I've tested)

For the envelopes, print out on easily foldable cardstock for both durability and to fold them. Fold the bottom half back then glue the "wings" to the back.

And lastly the jewel case covers AND inserts!!

{Sharing Time} Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world

I LOVE studying the Doctrine and Covenants and one of my favorite sections is 43:29-35. This is all about the Millenium and I just love it.
Well verse 34 says this:
Hearken ye to these words. Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. Treasure these things up in your hearts, and let the solemnities of eternity rest upon your minds.
Isn't it just beautiful! Especially in such a dark world right now. When I saw that this was the topic for this week I had it. Treasure! Jesus Christ is a treasure don't you think?

The events from the Savior's life that I've chosen are:
The birth of Jesus
Jesus being baptized
The Sermon on the Mount
Jesus Praying in the Garden of Gethsemane
Jesus on the Cross
The Resurrection
Jesus Visits the Americas

(below included in the download)

Materials Needed:
Chalk to draw a treasure chest on the chalkboard
Jewel printouts (add the blank ones if you'd like to add any of your own- maybe add "why are you grateful for a Savior?")
A large cardboard box/plastic box
Filler (Easter grass, shredded paper, confetti, tissue paper, etc)
Scissors
Sticky Tack/tape

Read D&C 43:34 “Hearken ye to these words. Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the Savior
of the world. Treasure these things up in your hearts, and let the solemnities of eternity
rest upon your minds.”
Ask the kids, how is Jesus Christ a treasure to you? What has He done that that is like a treasure?

Draw a treasure chest on the board with the printout of picture of Jesus with the scripture in
the middle.

Put the jewels in the box with the filler. Have a child come up and find a jewel put it up on the treasure chest. Then discuss:

Question/Discussion Ideas:
Birth: Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God, why do you think that Heavenly Father wanted Jesus to have a dad here on Earth?
Why did Jesus have to come to Earth?
How was Jesus coming to Earth part of Heavenly Father's Plan?

Baptism: Jesus is perfect, even when He was on the Earth. Why was Jesus baptized?
How was Jesus being baptized an example for us to follow?
Why are we baptized?

Sermon: Who was Jesus teaching?
How does the Savior want us to live our lives?
What other name is the Sermon on the Mount called? Why do you think it's called the Beatitudes?

Garden: Jesus was in so much pain, who came to help strengthen Him?
Who did Jesus suffer for? Why?
How can we use the Atonement in our lives?

CrossWhat did the people do to Jesus after He was on the cross? Why did they throw a spear?
Why did Jesus ask Heavenly Father to forgive them? Who did He want God to forgive?
What were some of the signs of Jesus' death?

Resurrection: Why was Jesus Christ's resurrection necessary?
How many days was He in the tomb?
Who was the person that saw Him? What did she do?
Why couldn't the apostles touch Him?

Americas: Why do you think the Savior let every person touch Him?
What do you think it would have been like to see Jesus and touch Him?
The people were so happy that Jesus had come as was prophesied, what did they do/say

(includes 9 jewels, lesson above, the scripture, and the picture with the scripture)

2016 Bulletin Board Scripture Puzzle

I LOVE when I see other great ideas from others! And then being able to create them!
This is one of them! In one the Facebook Presidency groups this one is from Rebekah B., she wanted a puzzle to put up a puzzle piece each day when the kids read their scriptures (you could also add in reverence, lots of participation, etc)
There are more than the 52 weeks for the year but I'm sure you can find some way to use the extra pieces. The pieces are separated onto 8.5x11 pages for easy at home printing then when the full puzzle is done it is 24 x 36 inches. There is also a key (preview below) so you know where everything goes and what each number's shape is.

Thank you Rebekah for such an AWESOME idea!

The download isn't a pdf, when I put it into a pdf the pieces didn't come out correctly so the download is the jpegs. If you are unsure of how to print jpegs, please see the Contact/FAQs page along the top.

(this link takes you to the Dropbox folder, you will then click on the "download" at the top right and "download as a zip" then all of them will begin downloading--- it looks like a mess when you see the files-22 in all but they download "pretty"---)
