All right so summer is really now in full swing and I'm going to post fun ideas for kiddos to do for the summer. I'll be posting links to different activities and ideas for all ages. Have a fun and safe summer!!
1)Make Homemade Slurpees from Kool-aid
2)Lawn Twister-get some spray paint or washable paint and make a big twister board on your driveway or lawn)
3) Make your own Bouncy balls
4) Glow in the dark drinks - how cool!! I'm going to try that out!!
5) Write a penpal
6) Marshmallow War - instructions on making the shooter (easy and super fun)-my family did this for an Easter get together
7) Go camping in your backyard.
8) Have a different sleeping spot each night (I did this when I was young-6-7) ex: under the piano, in a raft, in the bathtub, on the tramp
9) Build a living room size fort with bed sheets.
10) Have a movie night outside, set up a white sheet against a wall, set up a projector and have some popcorn
to make an evening out of it, have a car making contest out of cardboard boxes
11) Make some Sidewalk Paint and have a little contest on the driveway with an art gallery and invite friends or family over to judge.
12) Make your own PVC sprinklers
13) Have a neighborhood carwash or just have the kids wash your car
14) Make a chunk of ice filled with small toys- and put it in the kiddie pool or on the driveway and give the kids some supplies to go at it.
15) Make homemade facepaint and have a little party
16) Make mini terrariums or a big one (and go HERE for inspiration on different jars)
17) Have a scavenger hunt
18) Have a talent show
19) Make a Kimberbell doll (AMAZING pattern easy to follow and cheap for all you get) and accessories
20) Make Muddy Buddies (so so so yummy!)
21) Make some summer beach pudding cups
22) Make a backyard obstacle course
23) Make some pine cone bird feeders (so easy, and cheap!!)
24) Have a neighborhood/or a bunch of friends carnival before school starts back up. HERE is a fun fish bowl game, HERE's a list of FUN games to play, and HERE's another list of games (I think the sponge one would be hilarious!)
25) Do some spaghetti painting on the driveway or on poster board (exactly what it sounds like use cooked spaghetti noodles, dip them in the paint -tempra, sidewalk, etc, and make a mural with all kinds of colors)
26) Make and play with playdough monsters
27) Make paper plate crafts (THIS site has some darling ones like a walrus, sheep, and a rabbit)
28) Do you have a little girl? Make some play make-up for her on the cheap cheap cheap
29) Make a 4th of July windsock
30) Make a ginormous bean bag or ball game from a tarp
31) Make your own dinosaur (or any animal) fossils
32) Have a lego building contest with different categories (use only .... pieces, using only a certain color, create an animal, can only be 6 inches high, etc)
33) Have a kid swap day with a friend. Your kiddos go to their house and their kids come to your house for something new and fun
34) Have a travel around the world day!! Make each meal from a different country and have a few crafts/activities from different countries
35) Make friendship bracelets
36) Traveling? Make a Bubble Wrap Travel Game
37) Make a pool noodle marble race
38) Gather up a bunch of rocks, get out the tempra paint and make some rock crafts (so cute!)
39) Pool Noodle Lacing (perfect for preschoolers-SCORE!!)
40) Make Wacky Sacks
41) Marshmallow Popper War
42) Ping Pong Balls on Golf Tees and Water Guns
43) Sponge Bombs - WAY better than water balloons!!
