{Valiant} Primary 4, Lesson 29: Nephi Prophesies

After coming back to his home in Zarahemla from preaching the word of God to the people in the North (he returned because the people rejected the word of God and because the Gadiaton robbers were filling the judgement seats and making laws that were wicked and were laying aside the commandments of God)
Because of the people's wickedness Nephi was filled with sorrow. He knelt in prayer and poured out his soul unto God on his garden tower. Many people saw him praying there because it was by a busy road. As they were passing by, certain men saw Nephi as he was praying, they ran and told the people and the people came in multitudes to see why Nephi was so sad. When Nephi finished praying he saw all the people gathered by him and asked if they were there so he could tell them of their wickedness. Nephi tells the people that they must repent. Nephi then points out how the people have turned from righteousness to extreme wickedness. Nephi warns the people that if they didn't repent their lands and homes would be taken away by their enemies and the Lord wouldn't help them fight because of their wickedness. Nephi tells the people that they are even more wicked than the Lamanites because they knew and were taught the commandments but rebelled against them. He tells the people that if they do not repent they will be destroyed.

Some of the people that were gathered by Nephi were some of the appointed wicked judges. They became angry and said to the people: "Why do you not seize this man that he may be condemned for this crime?" The judges were angry because Nephi was speaking about their own wickedness. The judges also asked the people: "Why do you allow this man to revile against us? We are powerful, our cities are great, and our enemies can have no power over us."
Some of the people agreed with the judges but others began to believe what Nephi was saying was true and said, "let this man alone for he is a good man and these things will surely come except we repent." These people knew that he was a prophet or he could not have testified of things to come.

The other people wanted to kill Nephi were compelled out of fear and couldn't lay their hands on him, and Nephi spoke to them again. Nephi reminds the people of the prophesies of  prophets of old like Moses, Abraham and Isaiah, and how they had the power of God with them. So why wouldn't Nephi be able to have the power to prophesy.

A lesson that Nephi is trying to teach these people is that the Lord does inspire His prophets to know the things which others do not know.

Nephi then tells them of their own chief judge that he will be murdered by his brother and he will then sit as chief judge.  Five men ran to the judgement seat to see if Nephi was correct. These five men say that if in fact the judge is dead that they will believe the things that Nephi was telling them. Finding the judge dead, the men believed and fell to the earth in fear and astonishment.

The servants of the chief judge saw that he was murdered and went to the people and the 5 men were accused of the murder and were cast into prison. On the morrow the 5 men were brought to the judges and said that the chief judge was dead when they had arrived. The Gadianton judges said that Nephi had plotted to murder the judge so that he would then be called a prophet. Nephi was arrested and brought to the judges and was asked who his partner was in committing the murder, the judges tried to bribe Nephi with money and his release. Nephi calls them fools and asked how long the Lord would allow for them to continue in their sins.

Nephi prophesies again!
Go to the house of Seantum (the brother of Seezoram-chief judge) and ask him if I (Nephi) agreed to help murder his brother.
He will say nay, then ask him if he murdered his brother. Seantum will stand in fear and will not know what to say. He will act astonished and declare that he is innocent. Look him over and you will find blood on his coat. He will pale and look as if he were dead. Tell him that you know he is guilty because of his face. He will become more fearful and confess to the murder of his brother. Seantum will then say that Nephi didn't know anything of the murder unless by the power of God.
You will then know that I (Nephi) am an honest man sent from God.

Everything that Nephi had said would happen did and the five men and Nephi were set free.

Here's a video of the story of Nephi Prophesying:

What do prophets do for us?
Heavenly Father us given us prophets to watch and warn us of dangers. They warn us about how we can be prepared to defend ourselves against those dangers, including those that are sometimes hard to recognize, such as temptations and evil influences.

President Monson has given us 6 ways for us to stay safe:
1) Choose good friends
2) Seek parental guidance
3) Study the gospel
4) Obey the commandments
5) Serve with love
6) Pray with purpose

* if you follow the link above you can get further explanation for each of the 6 points

I really love this article from the Friend. It's simple but tells how the prophet is called.

And here's another article that I love to answer, Why are Prophets Important?

{Valiant} Primary 4, Lesson 28: Nephi and Lehi in Prison

After the wars with the Lamanites, the prophet Helaman went back to preaching the gospel. After he died the records he kept went to his son, also named Helaman. He became a chief judge. He had two sons whose names were Nephi and Lehi.

After Helaman, his son Nephi became the chief judge and stayed a chief judge for 10 years.During that time the Nephites had wars, pride, wickedness and they lost many cities including the city of Zarahemla. Just like Alma the Younger (his great-grandfather) Nephi resigned as chief judge and preached the gospel. Nephi decided to resign as chief judge because the laws of the land were voiced by the people. And so because the people were wicked the laws were corrupt as well, he felt that he would do more good by preaching the gospel.

Starting in the city of Bountiful, the two brothers went from city to city teaching to all the people of Nephi. They then went to the city of Zarahemla to teach among the Lamanites. Over 8,000 Lamanites and many Nephites repented of their sins.

Next the brothers went to the land of Nephi to preach to the Lamanites and the Nephites who had left the Church. In the land of Nephi, the brothers were put in prison and were not given any food.
After many days, the Lamanites came in the prison to kill them but when they came in, Nephi and Lehi were encircled by a large fire and the Lamanites didn't dare touch them because they were afraid they would be burned.
The brothers were safe within the fire and were not harmed.  Nephi and Lehi stood and spoke to the Lamanites telling them that it was  the power of God that was protecting them in the fire and away from the hands of the Lamanites. The earth then shook and the walls of the prison shook so much that it looked like the prison might fall, but it did not.

The Lamanites were overshadowed with a cloud of darkness and they were scared. While in the darkness a voice came as if from above the clouds and said: "Repent ye, repent ye, and seek no more to destroy my servants whom I have sent unto you to declare good tidings."
The voice came as a still voice as if a whisper and it pierced their souls.
The walls and the earth shook and the voice spoke two more times! Because of the darkness the Lamanites couldn't go anywhere and they were terrified.

A man who was once a Nephite, named Aminadab, saw through the darkness that Nephi and Lehi's faces were shining. The brothers were looking and talking up toward heaven. Aminadab told the Lamanites to look and they asked him what they were doing. He told the Lamanites that they were talking with the angels of God, The Lamanites then asked Aminadab how they could get the dark clouds to go away and he said that they must repent, pray unto God and have faith in Christ. The Lamanites did these things and the cloud of darkness went away and they were encircled with fire and it didn't hurt them. They were so happy, the Holy Ghost entered their hearts and they saw and heard many marvelous things.

A voice came unto them again as if it were a whisper and said: "Peace, peace be unto you, because of your faith in my Well Beloved (Jesus Christ) who was from the foundation of the world". About 300 Lamanites then looked up and the heavens opened and angels came down and ministered unto them.
The Lamanites went and told others about what they had seen and heard. Most of the Lamanites believed them and put down their weapons. They also stopped hating the Nephites and gave back the lands they had taken back to the Nephites.

Because of the conversion of so many Lamanites, the Lamanites became a good, righteous people even more righteous than the Nephites and would begin teaching the gospel to the Nephites.

This is quite a long chapter and such a powerful experience of the power of God that I want to share this video of the story that you can share with your class (make sure you download before class)

Golly, such an amazing powerful story and I just get goosebumps all the time!

In the parable of the wise man and the foolish man, Jesus is teaching us how we can stay strong when hard things in our life happen. It is through having faith in Him and by following His teachings. When we have a strong testimony, we can get through anything.

{Valiant} Primary 4, Lesson 27

The Anti-Nephi-Lehies, they were the Lamanites that were converted by the sons of Mosiah. When they were Lamanites they were a wicked and murderous people, to show Heavenly Father that they were sorry for their sins they made a covenant with Heavenly Father. They promised to never shed the blood of another man and they buried their swords deep in the earth.
Ammon and the other missionaries took the Anti-Nephi-Lehies to the Nephites into the land of Zarahemla. The Nephites promised them that they would defend and fight for the Anti-Nephi-Lehies.

The wars that Amalickiah started was taken over by his brother Ammaron, he also wanted the same power to rule over all the land. Many people suffered and died because of the wars. The wicked Lamanites attacked and captured many Nephite cities. The Anti-Nephi-Lehies, because they had made a covenant to not fight, the Nephites were defending them and were being killed. The Anti-Nephi-Lehies wanted to help. The prophet Helaman who was also a leader in the Nephite army convinced them to not break their covenant. However their sons had not made the covenant and were willing to go to battle against the wicked Lamanites even though they had never fought in battle before. They covenanted to fight for the liberty of the Nephites and protect their land even if they had to die to keep it.

Altogether there were 2,000 stripling (youth) warriors in the beginning. They asked Helaman to be their leader and lead them to battle. The young men were righteous and full of integrity, they Lord watched over them. They were young and hadn't been to battle before but they were successful again and again and proved that they were a strength to the Nephite army. Throughout their battles, many were wounded but not one of the them was ever killed.

For this lesson, I have created a game to get the kids into the scriptures and have a "scripture chase".These are so fun with the older kids and I just love that they get to dive into the scriptures and use them to learn about these incredible young men.

Thank you to Susan Fitch for her illustrations!

You will be playing with two dice. 1) is for numbers 1-3  and 2) is for the colors on the board)
You can either 1) make your own dice using kleenex boxes (or other square boxes) or some pocket dice (I have these and use them ALL the time) Check out these fun DIY large dice!
NOTE: The cards are about 3.5 around so if you make boxes 4 inches should be perfect.

On one dice use the color circles and the "you choose" on the other put the numbers 1-3 twice.

Another item that would be helpful is a bell or just have the kids slap the table.

You can 1) print two boards one for each team OR 2) make 2 different markers to divide the teams

Each of the questions and scripture references are from the manual or ones that I could think of, feel free to exchange questions for your own for your own Primary class.

Set up the classroom so you are at one end with a table in front of you and the chairs are at the other end.

Please note that I have included 3 questions on each of the cards. There are 4 spaces of each, you my dear teacher will need to come up with that 4th question.
There is a 5th space for the red and the darker blue. I thought it would be fun to have a challenge question for them both so I have included those.

Before you begin playing make sure to review the entire story (above) or summarize yourself so that they know an overall of the stripling warriors.

How to play:
Divide the class into teams, begin at the red circle at the bottom asking a question from the red card to both teams. Both teams will look for the answer (designate a runner for each team each question) then once they have the answer have them run to the table by you and slap/ring the bell. If they answer correctly, let them roll both the number dice and the color dice, then they will move the marker of the other team to that space.
For example, rolled 1 and a darker blue, you move the marker 1 darker blue space. Roll a 3 and a red you move 3 red spaces. If you "roll" past the end begin again at the beginning. Winner is team who lands at the darker blue end, This is a unlikely thing to occur if you're playing for the hour so you can give all the kids one of these winner stickers!

(Feel free to alternate winner to suit your Primary class)

{Valiant} Primary 4, Lesson 26

Captain Moroni was a true hero. He followed the Holy Ghost and fought for the freedom of his people from evil.

When he was just 25 years old he was appointed as the chief captain over every Nephite army. He was full of faith and believed in the liberty and freedom of his country.

A man named Amalickiah wanted to be king over all the Nephites.  Amalickiah was already the leader over a group of Nephies who had become proud from all their riches. These Nephites began to hate the Church and would no longer keep the commandments or listen to the church leaders.
Amalickiah told his followers that the Nephite government of judges was wrong and that they would better off if they were ruled by a king. He told the people that if they would make him their king that he would give them powerful positions.

Moroni knew that if there an evil king like Amalickiah that they would destroy the freedoms that the Nephite people had fought a long time for. He knew that the people would be in danger and they wouldn't be able to worship how they wanted.

Moroni removed his coat, tore off a piece and wrote this message : "In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives and our children." He then attached it to a pole and it became the Title of Liberty. After putting on his armor, Moroni prayed for his people. He then went among his people waving the banner so everyone could see the message written and cried in a loud voice, " Whosoever will maintain this title upon the land, let them come forth in the strength of the Lord, and enter into a covenant that they will maintain their rights, and their religion, that the Lord God my bless them."  People began to gather with their armor and were ready to fight for their freedom.

Amalickiah saw that the Nephites were ready to fight with Moroni and knew that if he fought that that he would not succeed. He fled to the land of Nephi. Moroni tried to cut the people of Amalickiah off but a few of his men and Amalickiah were able to escape.

Captain Moroni had the Title of Liberty to be put on all the towers in the land of the Nephites. There was peace for 4 years!

Amalickiah got to the land of Nephi with a lot of deceit and dishonest ways he was able to become king of the Lamanites. He stirred up the Lamanites in anger to go to war with the Nephites because he wanted to be the ruler over all the land. The Lamanites got ready for battle.

While Amalickiah was ruling over the Lamanites, Captain Moroni readied the Nephites by strengthening them spiritually, more people joined the armies and they built enormous hills and high stone walls around their cities and borders.

Because the Lamanites were ready for battle with armor they thought that they would be able to beat the Nephites but when they saw what the Nephites had constructed around their cities they became afraid. They tried many different ways to get into the Nephite cities but the plan and defense that Captain Moroni created they couldn't get through. During the Lamanites attempt to get into the cities, all of the chief captains were slain and more than 1,000 of their army was killed and NONE of the Nephites were killed. The remaining Lamanite armies fled and went back to King Amalickiah who was very angry that his armies couldn't subdue the Nephites and they weren't enslaved, Amalickiah cursed both God and Captain Moroni.

The Nephites thanked God that they were delivered from the hands of the Lamanites and were safe.

{Valiant} Primary 4, Lesson 25

I received a comment that I'm a little behind on the lessons so I've skipped ahead and I will work my way back if I have the time.

To add a little bit of fun, go snag these ADORABLE paper dolls for the armor of God and use them to coordinate with the lesson. All the pieces are separated so you can go through each piece. Perfect for the Enrichment activities for this lesson.

You can easily print enough for your class with each of the pieces to create their own armor of God.

Or you can blow the pieces up and play a game up on the board and let the kids follow the scriptures and see what each piece represents.

The orange analogy I think really brings the armor to life in that even if just a little water gets in the orange will sink. We must have a full armor on to withstand Satan.

I've also created these posters (download includes 2-4x6) to share with your class.

Here's a fun little page from the Friend that you can use for this lesson too!
* the pdf to download is on 2 printer pages that you'll need to glue together for the full poster

You'll find this analogy with the orange in lots of places but I just love it so much that I wanted to share with you the one in the New Era. It also has some awesome references to refer to for your lesson.

Included in the download:
- Boy/girl Posters about the armor of God
- Journal Page
- wordstrips for the different "parts" of the armor

{Valiant} Primary 4, Lesson 20

During this time, the Nephites were at peace and were righteous. A man named Korihor came to the land of Zarahemla. He was an  Anti-Christ. He began preaching to the people but everything he said was false and many people believed him.

Put the phrases onto the board, give out assignments of the scriptures once the kids know what their scripture goes to have them come up and write their scripture by the correct phrase.

False Teachings of Korihor (SOURCE):
1) Alma 30:13-14
2) Alma 30:15
3) Alma 30:16
4) Alma 30:17 ("every man fared...")
5) Alma 30:17 ("whatsoever a man did")
6) Alma 30:18

Korihor traveled to the land of Jershon to the people of Ammon but they did not believe what Korihor said and bound him and took him to Ammon. Ammon kicked him out of Jershon where Korihor went to Gideon. Here again he didn't have a lot of success and was taken to their chief judge, Giddonah. Giddonah had Korihor bound and delivered to Alma the high priest.
Korihor accused Alma and the other high priests that they were trying to get more power and authority and that was why they taught of Christ. Alma told Korihor that none of the high priests were paid for their service.
Alma asked Korihor if he believed if there was a God. Korihor said that he didn't believe. Alma asked if he had any evidence that there was no God.
Korihor taught that we can't know of things that we haven't seen. He argued that a person who hadn't seen God couldn't know His existence.
Korihor asked Alma for a sign of God's power if Alma showed him then he would believe. Alma told Korihor that there are many signs in the scriptures, the testimonies of others, the prophets, the creation of the Earth, and the movement of the planets, all of which are signs of God's existence.
Alma was sad to know that Korihor's heart was so wicked and he knew that he would be destroyed but Alma knew that is was better than have many more people deceived by Korihor. Alma told Korihor that if he denied that there was a God again that God would smite him and he would become dumb, unable to speak.
Korihor denied again, and through the power of God he was struck dumb. Alma wrote down, "Are you now convinced of the power of God?" Korihor wrote back that only through the power of God could he have been struck dumb and that he always believed there was a God. He said that Satan had deceived him and had appeared as an angel telling him to reclaim the heart of the people. Korihor begged Alma to pray to have the curse be lifted but Alma knew if it it were lifted Korihor would continue teaching false doctrines.
The people that believed Korihor's teaching were quick to repent. Korihor was cast out and was forced to go house to house and beg for food. When he went among the Zoramites to beg for food, he was trampled to death.

I LOVE this video of the account of Alma and Korihor! Goosebumps all over! I just keep watching it over and over.

Bring in a fake flower and a real flower. On the board, create two columns, one side label real flower and the other fake flower. In each column have the kids write down things about each that they notice. Remind them to use the five senses -- how does it feel? What do they look like? What does it smell like? etc (You could also write some questions about the flowers on the board)

How do you know which is fake and which is real?

Read Moroni 7:15-17
(8X10 INCLUDED IN THE DOWNLOAD)

Just as there are ways to tell the difference between a real/fake flower, Korihor's teachings were also fake.
Go through each of the false teaching of Korihor and explain each truth. How can we tell when something is true instead of false?
The more that we learn about something, we become an expert at it and can easily tell what is real/true instead of fake/false.

Now that we know that we can learn how to tell what is true and what is false but where can we learn?
The Scriptures, the Holy Ghost can testify of the truthfulness, and the prophet will tell us the truth as well.

I really love this artist's interpretation of the power of studying the scriptures and I think you could easily incorporate it when you talk about ways that we can thwart the temptations of Satan .

{Valiant} Primary 4, Lesson 19

LDS.org Primary 4, Lesson 19: The Anti-Nephi-Lehies

The name Anti-Nephi-Lehi may mean that the new converts desired to become like Nephi and Lehi and may have chosen a new name that reflected their righteous desires. Studies show that in some languages there is a common root corresponding to the word anti that means “in the face of” or “facing,” like you would face a mirror. It may have a meaning similar to the word imitation. In this light the name Anti-Nephi-Lehies might refer to those who desire to imitate what the descendants of Nephi and Lehi taught (source)

The Anti-Nephi-Lehies valued their covenants more than their lives.

                   -----------------------

Because of the efforts of the sons of Mosiah many Lamanites had been converted to the gospel. They changed their lifestyle, their culture, their home, even their name.

They decided to be called Anti-Nephi-Lehies.

The Lamanites who had not been converted angry at  those who converted to the teachings of the Nephites. They began to rebel against the king. They took up arms to destroy the king and the Anti-Nephi-Lehies.

None of the Anti-Nephi-Lehies being converted to the Lord, would take up arms to fight against the Lamanites that were coming to destroy them.  They had repented of their wrong doings and they were afraid that if they were to kill again they wouldn't be forgiven for committing the sins again. They chose to bury their weapons deep in the earth as a covenant to God that they would not kill again.

When the Lamanites came to destroy them, the Anti-Nephi-Lehies did not fight but prayed. Many Anti-Nephi-Lehies were killed by the Lamanites and none of them fought. The Lamanites saw that the people not fighting but praying, many of the Lamanites felt sorry for killing their brothers and put down their weapons and did not fight again. They repented and joined the Anti-Nephi-Lehies.
Because many Lamanites stopped fighting, those remaining were even more angry and blamed the conversion of their brothers on the Nephites. The Lamanite armies went to the Nephite lands, they fought many battles but couldn't overpower the Nephites. Many more Lamanites saw that the Lord was helping the Nephites by giving them great power, repented and converted to the Anti-Nephi-Lehies.

Some Lamanites were still very angry with the Anti-Nephi-Lehies and they went back to their lands and once again the Anti-Nephi-Lehies didn't fight and many were killed again.

Ammon and his brothers saw that so many people were being killed and they asked that the king gather his people and flee to the Nephites. The king was afraid that if they went to the Nephites, they would kill them or make them slaves because of their past sins against the Nephites. Ammon told the king that he was ask the Lord what they should.  The Lord told Ammon to get the people out of the land. The people gathered their belongings and went to the Nephite land. Ammon and his brother went to Zarahemla to talk with the chief judge telling him all that had happened to the Anti-Nephi-Lehies. The Nephite people told the king that they were give the land of Jershon to the Anti-Neph-Lehies and the Nephites would put an army to protect them from the Lamanites so they wouldn't break their covenants and take up weapons again. In return, they were asked to provide food and supplies for the army. The Anti-Nephi-Lehies made their new home in Jershon.

For this activity, there are two ways to use it. First the teacher version(PRINT SEEK AND FIND ON LEGAL PAPER-8.5X14)or the all together version, you'll need the Seek and Find and then number on the chalkboard 1-10 with this next to each:
1. Keep the Sabbath day holy
2. Prayer
3. Serve others
4. Dress Modestly
5. Obey the Word of Wisdom
6. Be Honest
7. Listen to Parents
8. Watch & Listen to Good Things
9. Find Good Friends
10. Use Good Language
Go through together ways that by doing these things (you can easily add more than just these 10) will help them keep their covenants.

For the student version. These are both on regular printer paper, First the 17 weapons and then the 1-10 covenants page as described above.

{Valiant} Primary 4, Lesson 18

This story is a favorite of mine! I love how much King Lamoni has grown and the faith of his father in what the missionaries are teaching him that he could truly be forgiven of his grievous sins through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

After establishing the Church in King Lamoni's kingdom, the king asked Ammon to go with him to the land of Nephi where his father, who was the king over all the land, lived. The Lord told Ammon that he shouldn't go to the land of Nephi because King Lamoni's father would try to kill him. Instead Ammon was told to go to Middoni and help Aaron and his companions who were in prison. Ammon told Lamoni what the Lord had said and King Lamoni said he would go with Ammon.
As they were going to Middoni they met King Lamoni's father. He asked Lamoni why he was traveling with a Nephite. Lamoni told his father that he and his people were taught by Ammon and were converted and he was helping Ammon get Aaron out of prison.
Lamoni's father was angry with Lamoni and commanded him to kill Ammon. Lamoni refused and told his father that he knew that Ammon and his brethren were prophets of  God. After hearing this Lamoni's father drew his own sword to kill Lamoni, Ammon stepped forward and stopped the king from killing his son and instead he tried to kill Ammon but Ammon was able to overpower him.
The king begged Ammon for his life and offered Ammon anything he wanted, even half of his kingdom. Ammon asked the king to get his brothers out of prison and to let King Lamoni keep his kingdom. Lamoni's father was surprised that Ammon asked nothing for himself and saw the love that he had for Lamoni. The king granted Ammon's wishes and asked for him and his brothers to go to the land of Nephi to learn more about what they were teaching.
Ammon and King Lamoni got to Middoni and were able to get Ammon's brothers released. Ammon was sad to see how badly they were treated in prison. Ammon was called back to the land of Ishmael with King Lamoni.
Aaron and his brothers were led to the land of Nephi. Aaron taught the king from the scriptures. Aaron taught the king about God, the Creation, the Fall of Adam and the Plan of Salvation, and the need for Christ to atone for the sins of the world so that all could have eternal life.
The king wanted to know what he needed to do to gain eternal life and would offer anything to have it. Aaron told him that he needed to repent. The king wanted to know if there was a God. When the king kneeled and asked, he was struck as if he were dead. The servants ran and told the queen who came and ordered Aaron and his brothers to be killed, but the servants were scared to touch Aaron. The queen told them to call the people. Aaron, knowing the hardness of the people's hearts, took the king's hand and he rose. He then began teaching them and his household was converted.
After the king's people arrived, the king began ministering to them as well. After the people calmed, the king had Aaron and his brothers teach them.
The king sent a proclamation throughout all the land that no one should harm the four brothers. The missionaries went to many cities teaching, baptizing and establishing the Church.

Here's a really AWESOME visual of how we can be forgiven of our sins through Christ. It's really cool and works and just takes a few ingredients!

LDS.org Primary 4, Lesson 17: Ammon, a Great Servant

Even though he knew it could be dangerous, Ammon served as a missionary among the Lamanites. With the power of God, Ammon defended King Lamoni’s sheep from Lamanite robbers. His good example allowed him to teach the gospel to others.

I just love the attention activity in the lesson and so I wanted to actually have the kids be able to write down what they know from each of the questions. So I've created the questions with a few lines for each. You can easily print them front to back instead of two sheets.

{Valiant} Primary 4, Lesson 15

LDS.org Primary 4, Lesson 15: Alma and Amulek's Mission to Ammonihah

When we respond quickly to the word of the Lord, He helps us obey His commandments. Alma called the people to repentance and taught them of the need to prepare for the Savior’s coming. This is one of my favorite stories in the Book of Mormon, it's such a great story of the power of repentance and how we can change by using our Savior's Atonement.
