Book of Mormon Fill-in Reading Chart

I love these charts, but I don't like how they always say phrases for past tense. I wanted one to celebrate our continued progress throughout the year. You can download a variety of sizes from an engineer print down to a printer page. Enjoy, and thank you for sticking with me while I'm in school.

As a celebration of getting another semester of school under my belt, I'm bringing this from Etsy to be downloaded for a limited time only. Snatch it up quick!

{Dec 30 - Jan. 5} Keystone Activity Mats

Included in this download are 3 pages to use the arch and the keystone. These pages are geared more towards younger children. Mix it up a little and create a playdough mat by laminating them for extended use

Long awaited/ Missions of Paul Study Guide

Hello to you my readers and thank you all for your emails and messages. I'm still very much here but have had so many demands that I just couldn't get to the computer to create.
Firstly, my family and I moved! We moved from the beautiful Palouse in northern Idaho to the Mini-Cassia area of southern Idaho. We are so very happy with the move because it moved us closer to both my family (my parents actually live a 1-minute drive away!) and my husband's family.
Secondly, We were in limbo for just over a month with our things in storage (including my computer) until we closed our own beautiful home (complete with my very own office!).
Finally, I'm still in school and this semester I was taking Statistics and I needed to ensure that all the time and effort that was needed was used so that I could pass with a good grade for my grad school admittance. I am happy to report that I passed without any damage to my GPA and am ready for my research methods class.

I am taking the summer semester off and so you'll have me for 8 full weeks! I'm so excited to be able to take a much-needed break and enjoy the last few weeks before kids go back to school.

As a welcome back, I've got a fantastic study guide for the missions of Paul!

Study Guide: The Good Samaritan

I learned so much about the Good Samaritan as I studied this parable from many different sources. The most poignant and endures this story more to me that I hadn't known before was that it is an allegory for the Plan of Salvation. It was a must for my study notebook and I hope you find it as useful because it takes up a bit of the study guide. I just felt that it needed to be included in its entirety.

Addresses to add to your study:
The Pathway of Discipleship - Neal A. Maxwell
Your Jericho Road - Thomas S. Monson
Try, Try, Try - Henry B. Eyring
Wounded - Neil L. Andersen

Tell the story of the Good Samaritan with your family or Primary with these fun cut-outs!

Easter Week Study Guides

Over the last couple of weeks, I decided to delve into books and addresses by General Authorities to learn about the events of last week of our Savior. Reading and studying their words has changed me. No one can describe in exactness what the Savior experienced as He ransomed Himself for each of us individually, but I am grateful to Him for standing in my stead.

There are 8 study guides in this set. One page for each event from the last week of the Savior's life. You can download them as a single file or download them individually by clicking on their titles below.

April Come Follow Me Weekly Topic Coloring

I love designing and coloring these beauties. There's something very relaxing about them and how just sitting and coloring helps to take my stress away. I decided to add in some characters for April from the Good Samaritan and from the Easter set and they turned out better than I hoped.

March Topic Coloring Pages

I created these with a heavy heart as I said goodbye to two in my immediate circle on this Earth just within days of one another.
My grandfather, a true cowboy, the one that was serious but knew the perfect moment to insert something funny and one of the kindest, hardworking souls to grace this earth.
An adopted grandma who always spoiled my kids rotten with goodies and a few babysitting nights.
I am grateful for eternal families and I know that I will see them both again. Our adopted grandma, our dear friends, I'm sure will be close by even without a sealing binding us together.

Cut and Paste Activity: Heavenly Father Loves Me

I love Elder Holland's quote that is found in the manual this week: "The first great truth of all eternity is that God loves us with all of His heart, might, mind, and strength."

Included in this activity is the color background and then the cut-out snowflakes to glue onto the background.

This activity is geared more towards Sunbeam age children.

Miracles of Jesus Notebook Stickers

I am so excited to be finally able to release these! I've been working on them for longer than I care to admit but I love them so much. I made these to fit the study notebook in the "truths about Jesus" box but I'm sure you can use them in anything that you are studying with. I used this sheet as a reference.

Each sticker has the "title" or what happened and then all the references in the Gospels for that particular miracle. It's perfect for those visual learners in quickly remembering where the miracles were and be able to cross reference them quickly. There are 42 stickers in all.
Included is both one with the fun outlines or without so you can decide how to cut them out. I printed mine on matte sticker paper but I think I want to try with gloss sticker paper so that the ink sits on top and is more "bright and shiny".

Study Guide: Jesus Christ was Tempted

I am so grateful to be on this journey with you, as I have taken the opportunity to delve deeper into the New Testament, I stand amazed at the lessons and teachings of this beautiful book and the opportunities to learn from its sacred pages many years after its writing.
I am grateful for the Spirit that testifies to me of the truthfulness of principles and doctrines of this text.
In my preparations for this week's postings, I hadn't anticipated preparing a study guide for this topic, but my mind wouldn't stray from it. I have learned much from these verses of Jesus Christ being tempted.

I wanted to just take a moment to share one of my own personal thoughts during my studies.
(Again, these are my own thoughts and impressions, these are NOT statements from the Church.)

I think of us and when we are in the temple we have the opportunity to be "with God". I'm am amazed by this, Jesus went away from the world to commune and be with God, to be taught by God. We can do this too by attending the temple. Just as we must return from temple so must Jesus.
Temptation is an essential part of the Plan of Salvation in this probationary state and Jesus was subjected to the same laws and trials that we are. Satan tempted Jesus Christ to test His divinity, to prove it. What would have happened if Jesus didn't know of His divinity?
If Jesus had turned the stones to bread, it would have shown doubt in His mind of His own divinity. This is a TOOL of Satan's, if he can attack and get us to doubt our own divinity, He can quickly make us doubt our purpose and question our choices.

February Scripture Pocket Pals

Hello all! So after a month of using the New Testament Interactive Board, I've decided to change up the format a little for 2 reasons. 1) My family has rarely used the board, sad but true. It was just more convenient to talk about the lessons while we were driving, eating dinner, etc and the beautiful board just sat. 2) I wanted to make it easier to cut out, it took so long to cut out all the pieces and I wanted something faster so without further adieu...
I'm calling these Scripture Pocket Pals because they fit easily in pockets of diaper bags, church bags, in the cubby of the van, etc. My kids LOVE THEM! We've played matching games, finding games, dart games, and racing games it's been so much fun as we learn about the People, Places, and the Study Questions from the manual.

So what you'll need for these beautiful additions? A 3-inch punch. ( I really like this one, it doesn't snag as much as others I've tried.)

I apologize for the delay in their posting, I thought I had planned it out all spaced nicely but apparently not. I'll try and get March's out a lot sooner. Again, most of the information on the cards come from the Bible Dictionary. I did use a little bit of Jesus the Christ for some of the apostles' information.

Any feedback? What's working for you? What can I add to these fun cards? Send me a message on Facebook!

Study Guide: Miracles of Jesus

Many of the miracles of Jesus are quickly coming along as we continue our study and many of these miracles are recorded in more than one book from the 4 Gospels. I wanted to make them all available for reference on one page and this chart just gives me a headache in finding the scripture references so I adapted to what I want so that I could put them into my study notebook.

Come Follow Me- NT Weekly Topic Labels

Have you ever complained about tasks that you just hate doing but they are so helpful so you just keep doing them? Well each week, I've been adding the weekly scripture and topic into my everyday planner so that if I'm out and about I can easily know where to jump to where I'm at and I'm also constantly reminded what we are studying and it's  perfect because I use my planner for getting blog ideas flowing (bring on the sticky notes!).
I was complaining to my friend Jennifer about my problem and she suggested just printing them all up on labels so instead of writing them each week I can just stick it in and be done. So I did just that! I love them!

These are formatted on Avery Template 8160 (30 labels per sheet, 1 inch x 2 5/8 inch) so double check your labels before you print.

Please note: There are 2 April 1-14 and 2 September 30-October 130000, this was intentional because it covers two Sundays and I wanted one for each week.

Each label includes the date, the scripture and the "topic".
